Bucklebury Fairies First Baseman Black Tears up Opposing Pitchers, Wins SC Player of the Week Title
BUCKLEBURY - Bucklebury Fairies fans are celebrating Orgulas Black's selection as SC Player of the Week. Black assembled some pretty stout credentials over the past seven days. He coaxed 12 hits out of 29 at bats and jogged down to first 3 times as well. The 25-year-old first baseman brought 8 runners home and hit 2 home runs.
The 25-year-old Black is batting at a .333 pace in 2014, picking up 26 hits in 78 at-bats. He has also run up these totals: .373 OBP, 20 RBI, 13 runs scored, 7 homers, and 15 strikeouts.
