Last Week's Star in MC: Buffy *Balrog Slayer--First Baseman Runs up .393 Average to Earn Kudos

MISTY MTN - Pitchers who faced the Misty Mountain Hops last week were happy to see Buffy *Balrog Slayer in the rear view mirror. The 27-year-old first baseman was dubbed the Mordor Conference Player of the Week for a 6-game tear that produced a .393 on base percentage and a .929 slugging percentage.

Those numbers came, in part, from no bases on balls and 5 extra-base hits, to go along with 7 RBI and 7 runs scored.

*Balrog Slayer doesn't take anything for granted. She knows that it was hard work, dedication and discipline that got her here and it will be more of the same that keeps her here. That's why it's satisfying to be contributing on a consistent basis at this level. She has rung up 58 hits and is hitting .358 this season. She has slapped out no doubles and 20 home runs, driven in 40 runs, and scored 35 times. She has also picked up 11 free passes, stolen 1 bases, and compiled a .399 OBP.
