Lothlorien Loses AnlaShok Valen

LOTHLORIEN - Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now AnlaShok Valen of the Lumberjacks knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Numenor Kings on July 13 while making a defensive play.

Diagnosed as a torn rib cage muscle, the Lothlorien left fielder is expected to miss 4-5 weeks. Valen was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "There is nothing I can do now. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen. Lucky for me, it isn't too serious and I won't miss many games."

Currently Valen is hitting .330 and has collected 5 home runs, 28 RBIs, 47 walks, a .408 OBP and scored 68 runs. He has played in 87 games.
