Slayers Star Traded to Devils

MINAS MORGUL - After struggling to negotiate a contract extension with Ciurk Badgerpoker, who becomes a free agent after this season, the Slayers have worked out a trade with the Devils to move him to Dunharrow. Badgerpoker, 32, came to the Slayers from Ravenhill in a trade just this May and has expressed a strong desire to put his services up for bid next season. Despite several large offers from Minas Morgul management, he refused to budge on his salary demands. Currently, the All-Star outfielder is hitting .289 with 12 HR and 53 RBI.

In exchange for Badgerpoker and a pair of draft picks, Dunharrow will swap cousins, Boli and Bofur Stoneteeth, as well as their first two draft picks next season. Bofur Stoneteeth, 33, has been a key member of the Devils since being taken in the Rule V draft in 2007. He has played all over the field for the team and was even named to the 2012 All-Star squad. This season alone, he has played all 3 outfield positions as well as 2B and SS. Boli, 23, is a switch-hitting outfielder, the Devils' first pick in 2012. After being plagued with injuries last year, he has established himself with the AAA White Mountain Wizards, hitting .284 with 6 HR and 41 RBI.
