Bagdreg the Hated living up to his contract

DUNHARROW - In fact, he's living up to several other contracts as well.
Dunharrow turned a few heads in the offseason when they made Badreg the Hated a $100 million man. After eight years of not living up to his potential with the Moria Miners, something clicked after being traded to Minas Morgul, and the Dunharrow GM took a chance that it was more than just a fluke. Bagdreg, however, knew that it was no fluke.
"I just really started to zone in on the strike zone," said the Hated. "I've always had the strikeouts, but, I don't know, I suppose I just had to mature."
The Hated has indeed matured this year, and his numbers reflect that. Amazingly, the Hated has walked only 27 men against a MC leading 197 strikeouts for a K:BB ratio of 7.3:1. This has translated to a 1.41 era which easily leads the Mordor Conference.
What's been most impressive, however, has been the Hated's recent performance. Over his last 40 innings, Badreg the Hated has allowed zero earned runs, one of the longest such streaks in Tolkein Baseball history. Can he keep it up?
"We gotta play 'em one day at a time. ... I just wanta give it my best shot and, Good Lord willing, things'll work out."
So far, looks like the Good Lord has been more than willing.
