Bounders Crowned Shire Champs

BYWATER - Ex-Cheese, Makk the Knife (8-17), who has never had a winning season in his 5 years in the majors, stepped it up a notch against his former team in Game 5 of the Two Towers Series, shutting down Bree by allowing just 2 runs on 7 hits and striking out 8. Meanwhile, in the 8th, Vorzava Tinond took a 2-1 pitch 465 feet into deep center for a 3-run HR, erasing a 1-0 Cheese lead and starting a 6-run spree that cemented the Shire Conference title for the Bywater Bounders.

This is the first time the Bounders made it to the postseason as division champions, and it is their first victory in three appearances in the Shire Conference Finals.
