Bromburg Wins 2014 Shire MVP
The voting was close, but in the end the members of the Middle Earth Baseball Writers Association and the team owners picked Bywater hurler, Glodunter Bromburg as the Shire's most valuable player. Bromburg, known as 'Songster' to teammates and fans, narrowly edged out Gandalf Award winner, Gwelf Goriborn for the honor. Goriborn had more 1st place votes, but Bromburg was consistently named to more ballots than his rival.
For his MVP season, Bromburg was 23-8 with a 1.93 ERA and 226 K's. He pitched 6 shutouts this season.
Other players recieving 1st place votes included Bree's Gollilmer Fyrith and Scarlett *II of Bucklebury.
