Bunch of Base Hits for Marauders Ballscarer

MIRKWOOD - The Marauders whipped the Royals 10-2 at Woodland Field on May 6, and Curt Ballscarer had a big hand in the win. The Marauders catcher came to the plate 6 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Ballscarer and a tough day for Rivendell.

"I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan."

Plan or not, Ballscarer delivered -- 5-6 is outstanding in any league.

C. Ballscarer singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

Presently Ballscarer is batting .333 and has collected 2 home runs, 17 RBIs, 2 walks, a .383 OBP and scored 15 runs.
