*Dogsbody on a Rampage, Hits Cycle
BREE - Biggles *Dogsbody of the Bree Cheese touched all the bases on June 13 in the 5-2 victory over Minas Ithil, hitting for the cycle. He teed off on Wyrms pitching for a single, double, triple and a home run.
The feat is rare in baseball as it requires a game of no fewer than four hits and the unusual combination of a home run, which requires a batter to hit for some power, and a triple, which requires a batter to have both speed on the basepaths and a favorable fall of the ball.
"The hardest part was the triple," confessed *Dogsbody, "A lot has to go right for you to get a triple. It is real easy to get greedy trying to stretch a double and get thrown out. It's really hard to get a three-bagger."
He finished his special day with 4 hits in 4 at-bats and a place in the record book.
B. *Dogsbody singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off J. Rector in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th and tripled in the 8th.
This year *Dogsbody is hitting at a .372 pace with 7 home runs and 31 RBIs. He has played in 63 games and scored 49 times.
