Mauhur *the Looter Elected to Hall of Fame

DEAD MARSHES - After consideration by the owners, Mauhur *the Looter becomes the 10th member of the SGCBL Hall of Fame, being named on 79% of the ballots cast.

Mauhur *the Looter was one of those rare players who played his entire career with the same team. In 2004, Dead Marshes signed the 24-year-old orc to a contract. After playing 18 games at AAA Emyn Muil, he was brought up to the big show in August and never looked back.

Known for his speed, he was among the league leaders in stolen bases for 10 seasons, winning the Mordor Conference Shadowfax Award in 2005 when he stole 76. Constantly plagued by injuries, he still managed to appear in 1390 games, missing just 1 in 2005. Following a broken ankle in 2014, Mauhur hung up his cleats after the playoffs.

He finished his career with a .297 batting average, 1610 hits, 350 doubles, 1031 runs scored, and 636 stolen bases.

Falling just a couple of votes shy were pitcher Imrohil Haleogast and long-time Archers catcher, Thuralia Nilad, both of whom received 64% of the votes. Half of the voters named Gamilas Eowil-Galad, Olorin *Orithil and Rafur Rockback on their ballots.

Five players failed to receive the 25% of votes to remain on the ballot next season: Grikak Dryadpoker (21%), Disin Axesmith (14%), and Freodriel Elrymbor, Lobur Oathdelver and Amon Thoirney (7%).
