200 Wins for Dunharrow's Arwodur

DUNHARROW - His goal at twenty was to win twenty games one year, pitch until he was thirty, win the league pennant and to make some money. Well, Ban Arwodur did something even better -- the 38-year-old Dunharrow Devils star has now won 200 games in his career. That put him in a very select group of pitchers in the league.

He joined that exclusive club July 7 at Dunharrow Field by whipping the Ravenhill Darkwings 8-4, holding them to 8 hits in 9 innings while chalking up 5 strikeouts and 1 walk.

In the postgame interview, the modest Arwodur said, "It's special to win 200 games. You don't do it by yourself. You do it with good stuff and a good bullpen. You are only as good as the guys behind you. Years from now I might look back on it and give myself a little pat on the back."

A check of his career stats reveals Arwodur has chalked up 200 wins and 116 losses in 422 starts with 2268 strikeouts in 2979 innings and a 3.30 ERA. Opposing teams have put up a 1.308 batting average against him.
