Tinond Homers Himself Into Record Books

BYWATER - The Bywater 10-2 victory over Grey Havens on August 6 was highlighted by Vorzava Tinond's 400th career home run. His teammates congratulated him at home plate after he circled the bases.

"I didn't see all of them out there," Tinond laughed, "until I rounded third base." He added sheepishly: "It was only a home run. It's not like I won us a Return of the King Series!"

Not only that, but he scored his 1,000th career run in the same game! In 4 at-bats the Bounders center fielder collected 2 hits in his historic game, scored 3 runs and had 1 RBI.
