Number 300 for Ploughman
RAVENHILL - At The Ballpark at Helms Deep Isembard Ploughman smashed his 300th career home run in a game against Lothlorien on September 29. The 32-year-old right fielder had a hand in the Ravenhill Darkwings 7-5 victory with 1 home run and 4 RBI. For the day he went 3 hits-4 at-bats.
At the press conference after the game, Ploughman downplayed his achievement.
"Obviously, I've hit 300 home runs so I belong in that 300 Club. But when you talk about the other guys that have done it, I'm not as good as they were. Those guys were the greatest of all time. I've just been able to scrape together some good years and stayed healthy and gotten there."
In his career Ploughman has played in 1330 games, totaled 1330 hits, 184 doubles, 3 triples and 300 homers. He has hit .270 with 888 RBIs and scored 746 times.
