Devils deal with Merry Fellows

OLD FOREST - Word came today from the Old Forest GM of a trade between the Merry Fellows and the Dunharrow Devils. In this multi-player deal, Old Forest will swap Fosco Bramble, Robert Lauzon, Paul Fite and $1 million for the Devils' James Biehl, Nuurt Earthmover, Bundin Manskin and Drogo Loamsdown.

Bramble, an 11-year veteran infielder, hit a career high 30 HR last season. Lauzon, 32, is an excellent defensive outfielder and winner of the Shire Conference Legolas Fielder award in RF last season. Fite is a hard-luck reliever with good stuff who has had to battle a lot of injuries over his 7 year career.

From the Dunharrow side, Biehl, 25, is a youngster who hit .240 in his rookie season. Earthmover, 21, was the Devils 1st round draft pick last season. Manskin, 33, is a decent defensive infielder without much hitting prowess. And Loamsdown, 30, returns to Old Forest where he was the Merry Fellows' 1st pick in the 2004 draft.
