Homer #400 for Grey Havens's Gandulbo
GREY HAVENS - The Grey Havens Stars defeated the Dunharrow Devils 9-6 yesterday in a game that featured Golligast Gandulbo's 400th career home run.
In the clubhouse, the Stars first baseman spoke about the milestone achievement. "To be honest, I don't even remember my first home run," he said. "But this one I don't think I'll forget. Who knows if I'll hit another hundred, or fifty, or even ten?"
On his historic day, Gandulbo banged out 1 hit in 5 at-bats and scored 1 run with 1 run batted in.
Gandulbo has put up a career batting average of .280 with 1923 hits, 400 homers and 1237 RBIs. He is just the 5th player ever to reach the 400 HR mark, tying him for 4th place on the career list with Binus Anvilworker.
