Merry Fellows Hurler Named July's Top Starter

In July Old Forest starter Sjors Cheeseslicer mystified Shire Conference hitters and carried off the Pitcher of the Month honors by chalking up a 5-0 record in 5 starts.

The 34-year-old Cheeseslicer added 43 strikeouts in 40.1 innings and 9 walks to his season record and compiled a 1.56 ERA. Opposing batters hit .218 against him.

In 22 starts this year Cheeseslicer has posted 17 wins while suffering 2 losses. He has pitched 177.2 innings, allowed 138 hits, struck out 190 and has a 1.62 ERA.
