2000-th Hit for Gandulbo!
GREY HAVENS - It was a day of mixed emotions for Grey Havens first baseman Golligast Gandulbo, who collected his 2000th hit in the club's 6-5 loss to Lake Townon August 25. Stars and Archers fans alike cheered Gandulbo as he reached base after his historic hit.
"I wish the score had been different," Gandulbo said after the game, "but it was a great moment. The standing ovation was really special...even the fans wearing Archers caps were cheering me."
Gandulbo was 3-4 on the day.
Career-to-date Gandulbo has rung up a .278 average, played in 1950 games and collected 225 doubles, 20 triples and 415 home runs.
