*Hubbard Picked SC's Premier Rookie

One of the Shire Conference's brightest newcomers, El-Rond *Hubbard was at the head of his class in August as he picked up the Rookie of the Month honors.

The 20-year-old Old Forest designated hitter batted .315 with 9 home runs and 25 RBIs.

This year *Hubbard is hitting .311 with 162 hits, 33 home runs, 121 RBIs and has scored 80 runs.
