Old Forest 2016 Return of the King Series Champions

OLD FOREST - It was a clash of the two best teams in the Tolkien Baseball -- the Old Forest Merry Fellows and the Misty Mountain Hops -- and when the dust cleared on the diamond -- the Merry Fellows were the 2016 Return of the King Series champions.

It all came to an end today at Shire Greens Stadium, when Old Forest clinched the title with a 4-1 victory and won the series 4-2. It is the 2nd time it has happened in club history.

During the Shire Conference Elf Division regular season Old Forest put up a 98-64 record and finished first.
