Minas Tirith's Black Takes 2016 Sam Gamgee Batter

Orgulas Black, Minas Tirith's outstanding third baseman, took home the Shire Conference Sam Gamgee Batter for 2016.

This season he put up some strong stats, including a .325 batting average and .403 on-base percentage. In 144 games he piled up 188 hits, 26 doubles, 3 triples, 42 home runs, 113 RBIs and scored 123 times.

This weekend the MEBWA will host its annual awards dinner and all of the major winners will be there to receive their trophies for their outstanding achievements this past season.
