2016 MC Gandalf Pitcher Award Chosen

Sorrel Amblestar of the Misty Mountain Hops had an excellent year and has been rewarded with the 2016 Mordor Conference Gandalf Pitcher Award.

He regularly dished out misery to other ballclubs, capping the season with a fine 26-10 won-lost mark. Amblestar started 44 games, logging 334.2 innings, 269 strikeouts and a 2.42 ERA. Amblestar gave up 292 hits, while walking 54 and holding opponents to a .233 average.

The MEBWA will honor all of the award winners this weekend at its annual meeting.
