Muddyfoot Collects Hit Number 2000

It was a day of mixed emotions for Lothlorien second baseman Hamson Muddyfoot, who collected his 2000th hit in the club's 5-2 loss to Minas Morgul on September 1. Lumberjacks and Slayers fans alike cheered Muddyfoot as he reached base after his historic hit.

"I wish the score had been different," Muddyfoot said after the game, "but it was a great moment. The standing ovation was really special...even the fans wearing Slayers caps were cheering me."

Muddyfoot was 1-4 on the day.

Muddyfoot has a career .286 batting average with a .353 OBP. He has hit 176 homers, driven in 876 runs and scored 900 runs since he came into the league.
