Mathilda's Sluggishness Investigated

MINAS MORGUL - It seems that Mathilda the Sling has lost some of her zing. Her "potential" is as high as ever, but somewhere between Spring Training and now, her ability has dropped off significantly.

"This isn't the first time this has happened. We lost Nark Steelshaper this way where his ability just kept disappearing while scouts kept saying "he's still going to be awesome!!!111!1!" and his performance becoming incredibly mediocre." K.L. spoke.

Mathilda had a good spring, so it would make sense that the scouts stayed positive on her, but clearly, something happened, and so far in the early going, she's posted a 6.17 ERA, though much of that is the one horrible game against Dagorlad.

"We'll keep an eye on her, but we just can't afford to have her falling off like this. She and Deneadur are being counted on again as our 1-2 combination, and to lead the rotation. If she can't turn it around, we are in trouble." K.L. commented.

Meanwhile, K.L. has ordered an investigation to see just what is going on in hopes to find a way of preventing it. Perhaps it's some sort of curse, or a sickness that she's trying to hide (or doesn't even know she has), or something else.
