Belurion Beats Stars for 200th Win
Saturday, April 3rd, 2027
Her goal at twenty was to win twenty games one year, pitch until she was thirty, win the league pennant and to make some money. Well, Isiclya Belurion did something even better -- the 39-year-old Numenor Kings star has now won 200 games in her career. That put her in a very select group of pitchers.
She joined that exclusive club today at Grey Havens Field by whipping the Grey Havens Stars 6-5, holding them to 6 hits in 8 innings while chalking up no strikeouts and 2 walks.
In the postgame interview, the modest Belurion said, "It's special to win 200 games. You don't do it by yourself. You do it with good stuff and a good bullpen. You are only as good as the guys behind you. Years from now I might look back on it and give myself a little pat on the back."
In her lifetime, the 39-year-old Belurion has won 200 and lost 129, piling up 2068 strikeouts and 969 walks in 2992.1 innings with a 3.54 ERA. Opponents have hit .273 against her.
