Sandybanks Cops 300th Save, Numenor Tops Lumberjacks 4-3

Saturday, May 8th, 2027
As he's done throughout his career, relief standout Fosco Sandybanks took the ball and got it done. The only difference - this save, which gave the Numenor Kings a 4-3 win over the Lothlorien Lumberjacks, was number 300 in his famed career. It's a milestone many dream about, but few reach. That fact was hardly lost on Sandybanks as he talked with reporters after the game. "I think back to when I was a teenager just hoping to get my shot in this game and never did I think I'd be saving 300 games," he said. "It's truly an honor to achieve this and I'm proud to put my name in the record books. I'm just glad I've had the opportunity to stick in the league long enough to accomplish this."

A check of his career stats shows Sandybanks has 300 saves with a 65-82 record and a 4.00 ERA.
