Bauwyn Hit String Snapped at 27

Sunday, September 10th, 2028
For once, it was the Wyrms picking up Isumbras Bauwyn.

Their offensive catalyst, as the Minas Ithil manager calls him, saw his 27-game hitting streak snapped as Bauwyn was held hitless by the Dunharrow Devils at Silmarillion Cellular Field. The 32-year-old left fielder went 0-for-3. It should have made for a lousy day, but his teammates picked up the slack and whipped the Devils 9-6.

At the press conference after the game, Bauwyn told reporters, "Everybody did the job but me. No problem, we won the game."

Asked how he felt about the streak ending, he grinned and replied, "It was a good run. I'll try to start another one tomorrow."

Currently Bauwyn is hitting .304 and has collected 15 home runs, 46 RBIs and scored 87 times, while playing in 106 games.
