Kings End Ditchdigger's Streak

Wednesday, August 8th, 2029
After 20 games, Nusin Ditchdigger had his hitting streak ended abruptly today by Numenor at Capital One Stadium. The Witch Kings shortstop failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats and his brief fling with fame has come to a halt. But Ditchdigger seemed to care less -- it didn't matter as Weathertop took a 4-3 victory from the Kings.

Ditchdigger didn't dwell on the streak saying, "It was good while it lasted. If it had to end, I'm glad it ended with a victory."

This season Ditchdigger is hitting at a .321 pace with 13 home runs, 74 RBIs and has scored 42 times.
