"After all," he said in a casual discussion while he waited for his turn in the batting cage, "my big sister taught me everything I know about this game. I just hope I can live up to the high standards she has set for me."

Both Celeborn and Nienor are of the race of elves, as was the original Celeborn. But Nienor, he says, was named for the human third child of Hurin Thalion. "Our family has a long and proud history of its own," Celeborn told this reporter, "but we like to honor, with our naming, the deepest roots of Middle Earth history."

As Celeborn stepped into the cage, and for the next 10 minutes laced hits to all parts of the field, and from both sides of the plate, it certainly seemed that another *Silverspike was going to be a welcome addition to the Erebor franchise.
