Monday, September 22nd, 2025: So far in his young career, Cedrick Elesserio has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Shire Conference in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.

The 24-year-old Minas Ithil Wyrms left fielder hit at a torrid .591 clip as he collected 13 hits in 22 at-bats, 4 home runs, 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored.

So far this year in 130 games Elesserio is hitting .287 with 31 home runs, 96 RBIs and 74 runs scored.

Monday, September 22nd, 2025: It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Halildur Tunnelbender, the Dead Marshes Uruk-hai 25-year-old first baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Mordor Conference Player of the Week honors.

He ripped 11 hits in 25 at-bats, compiling a .440 average with 2 home runs and 4 RBIs.

Batting .321 to date, Tunnelbender has 17 home runs and 62 RBIs.

Wingnutt Says Goodbye in Old Forest

Sunday, September 21st, 2025: The medical report is in: the injury that has kept Old Forest center fielder Elol Tinonduil out of action since 09/18/2025 will sideline him for another 3 months. The 26-year-old Tinonduil, who has a partially torn labrum, said he heals quickly. "I'll be back soon," he said, "and I'll pick up where I left off. "

So far this year Tinonduil is batting .359 with 13 home runs.

Star CL Signs Pact with Lumberjacks

Saturday, September 20th, 2025: The Lothlorien Lumberjacks have finished a deal with All Star-caliber closer Elanor Muddyfoot that will extend her stay in Lothlorien at least 3 years and will pay out $39,000,000.

This season Muddyfoot has notched 37 saves with 80 strikeouts and 14 walks in 74.1 innings while registering a 3.51 ERA and a 4-6 won-lost record.

Thursday, September 18th, 2025: Three home runs in a game doesn't happen often. When it does it is something special to celebrate. And Cedrick Elesserio of Minas Ithil can celebrate it. He is now a member of the select group of players, who have hit three home runs in a single game. He powered three into the stands today at Silmarillion Cellular Field against the Bywater Bounders.

In all he was 3-4 as the Wyrms toppled Bywater 9-8, knocking in 5 runs and scoring 3 times.

Elesserio told reporters after the game, "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run. Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today I tried on the last one."

His manager added, "He is blessed with a natural home run swing. He gets the ball up in the air."

Cedrick Elesserio flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ecth Tremblay in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ecth Tremblay in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Torg Griffis in the 7th.

This season Elesserio has banged out 132 hits in 463 at-bats for a .285 average with 30 home runs. He is getting on base at a .345 pace and his totals also include 95 RBIs and 73 runs scored.

Weathertop's Hornblower Diagnosis Revealed

Wednesday, September 17th, 2025: The injury that has kept Daisy Hornblower out of action since 09/14/2025 will keep her out a while longer. Weathertop Witch Kings officials made the announcement this afternoon. They said that Hornblower is expected to miss at least 4 weeks with a separated shoulder.

Hornblower on the season is hitting .328 with 21 home runs. Her stats include 86 RBIs and 74 runs scored.

Footpoker Signs for 3 years

Tuesday, September 16th, 2025: Vralak Footpoker inked a deal that will keep the seasoned veteran on the Lumberjacks roster another 3 years. Earlier today team personnel announced that the 35-year-old had settled on a $9,750,000-a-year deal to play at Celebrant Field.

It's no secret Footpoker is getting older, but he could still contribute a lot to the franchise.

Up to now Footpoker has recorded a record of 11-11. In 30 starts he has fanned 146 batters in 187 innings with a 4.86 ERA.

Dunharrow Loses Hippogryph, Out 5 Weeks

Tuesday, September 16th, 2025: Since 09/15/2025, when he suffered an oblique strain, Xap Hippogryph has been waiting. Waiting to hear how badly he injured himself during that day's game. Today word came down from the doctors that the Dunharrow center fielder would miss 5 weeks. "It could have been better", said Hippogryph, "but it also could have been much worse."

Hippogryph is hitting at a .280 mark this season. His stats show 20 home runs, 72 RBIs and 77 runs scored. He has played 110 games for the Devils.

Monday, September 15th, 2025: All week long Frillf Elvora was the toughest out in the Mordor Conference and that is the prime reason he was voted the Player of the Week.

The Numenor shortstop rapped out 10 hits in 18 at-bats for a .556 batting average, drove in 11 runs and scored 4 times.

Elvora is swinging at a .270 pace on the year with 20 home runs, 71 RBIs and 68 runs scored. He has played in 118 games.

Tinonduil piled up 10 hits in 15 at-bats, 3 home runs and 5 RBIs while hitting .667.

Monday, September 8th, 2025: 21-year-old Norman *Xanatos sent shock waves through Tolkien Baseball last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Mordor Conference Player of the Week Award.

A newcomer to the league, *Xanatos made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .565 average, 13 hits in 23 at-bats, 5 home runs and 10 RBI.

Where the Dol Guldur Dragons catcher goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but *Xanatos certainly made his mark last week.

Presently *Xanatos is hitting .331 with 34 home runs and 94 RBIs. He has played in 124 games and scored 85 times.

Rowan Sandyman, the Minas Tirith Titans 24-year-old second baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Shire Conference Player of the Week honors.

He ripped 17 hits in 33 at-bats, compiling a .515 average with 3 home runs and 12 RBIs.

This year Sandyman has hit 15 home runs and posted a .284 batting average.

Proudneck Big Deal in Lake Town: Hits for Cycle

Sunday, September 7th, 2025: "Some days everything falls in place and you have an almost perfect day."
Those were the comments from Lake Town first baseman Tika Proudneck today as her 4-5 day included the cycle, a baseball rarity.

"She sure was a wrecking ball today," said one teammate after the Archers tamed the Stars 5-4 at Grey Havens Field.

Tika Proudneck flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Borulas Sathie in the 4th, tripled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.

In her 2025 season totals, Proudneck has 23 home runs, .276 BA, .331 OBP, 74 RBIs and 56 runs scored.

Sunday, September 7th, 2025: A blow for Wooley Badgerbadger today -- team doctors were able to determine the full extent of his recent injury. He will miss 3-4 months with ulnar nerve irritation. Badgerbadger suffered the injury on 09/05/2025. The team will likely place Badgerbadger on the disabled list today.

This year Badgerbadger has fanned 119 in 152.1 innings and collected a 6-10 record with a 3.25 ERA.
