Bloggy Help for Charley Victims

Back in May I linked to a wonderful idea hatched by Alan at the Command Post to use our bloggy power to shine a light on goodness when badness hits. In the ensuing months, that idea has blossomed into a full-blown movement called Strengthen the Good.

The concept is to create a network of bloggers who raise awareness of “micro charities” – charitable opportunities that are simple, personal, non-bureaucratic, and inspiring. Charitable opportunities where someone can feel great about giving $1, or even just from reading the story of the charity, its sponsors, and its beneficiaries. I’ll find them, if you’ll link to them. All I ask is that you please consider joining our network. Read more on the main page, or go here to join right away and help us strengthen the good. Thanks.

In the wake of Hurricane Charley, there are a lot of ways to Strengthen the Good in Florida. And how can you resist the tagline?

Don’t just fight evil: Strengthen the good.
