Christsmas. That’s a wrap. Get it? Christmas..wrap? Never mind.

Christmas has come and gone again, and now it’s back to the salt mines for the lot of ye. Well… not quite…

I am presently in my own salt mine, and I can hear the echo of my voice bouncing off the lonely walls of the deserted cave. There’s nobody here, and I’m pretty much soloing it for the rest of the week while everyone else uses up their vacation time. Sweeeeet. Maybe I can get some work done!

Hopefully, Santa brought you all some wicked nifty toys. Far be it from me to glorify the commercial aspect of Christmas… but hey look what I got!

I got the new book by Doris Kearns Goodwin (presidential historian), Team of Rivals, and the new Sims-like movie studio game, The Movies. I also got a personal coffee maker for my office (so I can brew my Earl Grey when those bastidges have the nerve to make coffee) and a set of Lord of the Rings Minimates for my desk. All extremely cool stuff and not geeky at all. Nope.

Anyway, it was a fun Christmas, because (in addition to me) we had three little kiddos (ages 2, 6 and 8). My brother was down from Philly, and they spent Christmas Eve with us. It was very cool to have excited little ones around on Christmas morning. Pepperkat had so much fun, she said she’s reconsidered her stand on never having kids (she’d like to rent a couple for holidays, at least).

Hope your holiday was merry and bright and that Santa brought you tons of loot!

Sounds good to me. I scored a T-shirt with the legend “Smarter than the Average Bear.” It’s amazing how many people remember Yogi Bear.
