Come on… time to robot!

We went to see Madagascar again tonight (have I ever mentioned how much I adore the dollar theaters?). This is the third time for the Mrs and me, and the second for Pepperkat, but Whiny still hadn’t seen it. And for a buck how could you go wrong?

Besides, all you really need to know about this family is that Madagascar is one of those movies that we find insanely funny, but that the rest of the world probably doesn’t. (Kinda like Rat Race.)

It’s not so much the main characters or the plot, it’s the sideshow freaks… the monkeys, the penguins, and especially the lemurs… that we find hysterical. There is just something totally insane about King Julian (“Now, who wants a cookie?”) that appeals to us.

Alex: The wild? “Live in a hut, wipe yourself with a leaf” kind of wild?
Julian: Who wipes?

If you have any empathy at all, you naughty little monkey, you will come to understand and accept us for what we are: totally nuts. (“If you have any poo, fling it, now.”) I actually don’t think we’re all that unique in our appreciation of this movie, but just in case, I thought I’d make it clear for you. Or not.

Smile and wave, boys. Smile and wave…

As usual, it’s all about the monkeys, isn’t it?

The Deputy family loves Rat Race.. I think Boyscout more then others… it’s a great movie to watch at home when you are down with allergies. 🙂

Madagascar is silliness but we love it. You can change the lyrics from “We like to move it, move it” to whatever you want. “Go to the potty, potty.”

We love this movie too… it’s silliness that will permeate our family from here on out. Great one liners… you gotta love that.
