• Football: Week 15

Did you know it’s only 62 days until pitchers and catchers report to spring training? Ah, soon this football nonsense will be but a distant memory. Anyway, here are this week’s picks for you to scoff at. If I were the competitive sort, I would point out that I am a game ahead of Geeky in the Yahoo fantasy football pool. But I’m not, so I won’t.

    Pittsburgh vs. N.Y. Giants
    Washington vs. San Francisco
    Carolina vs. Atlanta
    Buffalo vs. Cincinnati
    Dallas vs. Philadelphia
    Houston vs. Chicago
    Minnesota vs. Detroit
    San Diego vs. Cleveland
    Seattle vs. N.Y. Jets
    Denver vs. Kansas City
    New Orleans vs. Tampa Bay
    St. Louis vs. Arizona
    Jacksonville vs. Green Bay

You know… Last week the only game that kept me from a perfect week was the over-time win by the SF 49ers…
This week we differ on these picks:
    Carolina vs. Atlanta
St. Louis vs. Arizona (was a coin flip)
    Jacksonville vs. Green Bay

    Houston will beat Chicago

What did I tell you about Minnesota in December?

St. Louis will win vs Arizona

Jacksonville has never played a game where the temperature was below 29 degress. Take Green Bay.

Oh well. Now let’s see what I know. It’s all fun.

Pitchers and catchers? What pitchers and catchers? We don’t have any good ones, and now we don’t have an All-Star third-baseman either!

    Alas, Dodger Blue. 🙁

Ah, poor Dodger Blue, at least now you don’t have to worry about who’s gonna play first base on Roshashanana, or whichever day that is in September that Shawn Green doesn’t play on.

(The preceding is NOT a knock on our Jewish friends and their religion. It’s just a Schmuck with very poor taste, in regards to everyone. In short, I’m an equal opportunity offender, not anti-semetic. That is all.)

Now then, you did get Javier Vasquez from the Evil Empire. That’s gotta give you a warm fuzzy feeling, doesn’t it MisterMeister?

Pitchers and catchers, sigh. It is coming soon, isn’t it? 🙂
