Football: Week 8

Ah, yes, there is still this nasty football business going on, isn’t there?

The record took a hit last week. I’m down to 59-29, and this week looks rough

I usually don’t make it a habit of giving a damn who wins the games. (Patriots? Eh. Whatever.) But I’ll be keeping a close eye on the Packers this Halloween. I actually changed my pick from Washington to Green Bay, hoping that this trend will continue.

Arizona at Buffalo
Baltimore at Philadelphia
Cincinnati at Tennessee
Detroit at Dallas
Green Bay at Washington
Indianapolis at Kansas City
Jacksonville at Houston
N.Y. Giants at Minnesota
Atlanta at Denver
Carolina at Seattle
New England at Pittsburgh
Oakland at San Diego
San Francisco at Chicago
Miami at N.Y. Jets

Even given your political wishes, picking the Skins over the Pack this year would have been a sucker’s bet. However, I devoutly hope the trend continues and the Skins get beat. Unfortunately, the magnitude of the defeat apparently doesn’t correlate to the size of the political victory, or I’d want the Skins to lose by three touchdowns.

I like most of these picks. The only problems I have are with the Cinci/Tenn game, and Carolina/Seattle game.

Tennesse and Seattle are done, methinks. Tennesse primarily because McNair has finally broken down. Seattle is killing itself, week by week.

While I wouldn’t pick it this way, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Baltimore beat Philly. You kinda have to take Philly here, but Baltimore could do it, on anay given Sunday.

Yes, the hubby just told me about the election based on the football game for the Washington team and I’ve never been a football fan, but I’m so going to root for Green Bay, so the world can get rid of Dubya. I can’t lose my hope, I can’t lose my hope, heh! Have a good day 🙂
