It’s not a mirage. It’s an Illusion!

I think I’m going to faint.

According to Outpost Gallifrey, there’s a new video on demand channel dedicated to science fiction (not stupid SciFi Channel crap), and it’s going to start showing classic Doctor Who next year.

A new Video On Demand Channel dedicated to science fiction and fantasy, Illusion On-Demand, has launched in North America. Currently available in twenty states and is free to all digital subscribers. Illusion has announced that the Classic Doctor Who series is slated to be on the channel starting in January 2008. November sees the updated release of The Quatermass Experiment starring Mark Gatiss and David Tennant.

It’s already offering a different “creature feature” from Troma each month, a bunch of anime, documentary features on people like Stan Lee, Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere, and a buttload of video online.

In fact, I think I will faint.

The only thing that ruins it is that it’s not carried by my cable provider. Hmm. Perhaps it’s time for Dish Network…

Must. Call. Brighthouse. Now.

OMFG. I think I just had a minor heart attack from happiness. Must go call Comcast. Right. F’ing. Now.

I love Troma stuff…. but I am sure that it won’t be on my cable. Of course, since I haven’t even dropped into the new century and gotten digital cable, it doesn’t really matter, now does it?
