Worst. Trade. Ever.

It's official. I hate the Red Sox.

Go Cubs.

No, it's not the worst trade ever. And you know that.

It does kinda suck, though.

Unfortunately, the trade kinda makes sense, in that Nomar was gonna walk at the end of the year. Then, all we get is draft picks. This way we get 2 major league ballplayers. Good ballplayers. Not great ballplayers, like Nomar. But good players, certainly better than draft picks.

It sure does suck that it has come to this though.

Dammit.

Couldn't we at least have gotten some PITCHING???

But then again, we should be grateful that Heathcliff Slocumbe has retired.

Sheesh. We might as well have traded Nomaaaah for some dirty sweatsocks and a couple of used baseballs.

GO CUBS!!!

I can now report to you that I understand better why the Sox traded Nomah.....

I have seen the future, and his name is Hanley Ramirez. He is the shortstop for Boston's AA team The Portland Seadogs. And he is all that, AND a bag of chips. Probably not ready this year, and maybe not next year, but he is awesome.

Supposedly the Sox have 4-5 very good shortstops in the farm system. Which means they are doing it the right way. After seeing Ramirez last night in person, I feel a lot better about the Nomah trade. (And I still think the world of Nomah.... but he wasn't gonna re-sign with the Sox. At least this way we get major league players, instead of draft picks.)

If you don't see a way to enter a comment, it's not because I don't love you. It's because they have been set to auto-close after 5 days.

Thank you, comment spammers. Thank you to hell.
