SGCBL has openings!

Not a lot of openings, but if you’re interested in some high geekery and goofy fun, Solonor’s Groovy Computer Baseball League (aka, Tolkien Baseball) has a couple of spots open. We are finishing our 2012 season and will be heading into 2013 soon. We need both team owners and those willing to GM teams for absentee owners and those who might need a little help.

Our membership is diverse and widespread. Our ages range from 16 to 60, and I’ll bet we have more female participants than any league in existence (6 women currently play, but we’ve had more). We have owners and GM’s from a dozen states, including Florida, Michigan, Oregon, Arizona, Massachusetts, New York, Nebraska, Ohio, and Hawaii, and representatives of Canada, the UK, Australia, the Netherlands, and France. (Time zones are fun!)

You do not need the game to join (but it helps). We have always maintained an open door policy in that regard by creating custom forms and an active forum to keep our “web managers” in the loop. In fact, of the 11 teams vying for playoff spots this season, 4 manage their teams with just the web pages.
