In my zeal to slam the Prez and all the other money-grubbing opportunists, I left out the biggest dollar-sucking machine of all: Congress! I don’t know why I was so shocked by Patriot Day. After all, it’s been the law of the land since DECEMBER! Duh. Somebody buy me a newspaper every once in awhile, ok?
House Joint Resolution 71, introduced and passed 407-0 on Oct 25, agreed to unanimously by the Senate on Nov 30, signed by the President on Dec 18.
How did I miss that one? Now I wonder, what other holidays are out there that I don’t know about?
