The Dunharrow Devils bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a Return of the King Series championship.
Dunharrow downed the Minas Morgul Slayers 1-0 tonight at Sylvan Cove, to take the Two Towers Series 4-1.
“It seems much more real now and we’re really starting to realize we’ve got a great shot at this thing,” said Camelia Ploughman, who was named series MVP. “When we play our best we’re as good as anybody in the Tolkien Baseball.”
For the series, Ploughman had 6 hits for .375, with a .444 on-base percentage. She had 3 RBI and scored 1 run.
The Dunharrow Devils don’t know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Carrock Bears – Bywater Bounders series. Carrock leads the series 3 games to 2. The Return of the King Series schedule will be announced after the Two Towers Series finishes.
