It was the best of both worlds for the Dol Guldur Dragons today at Dunharrow Field, as they defeated the Dunharrow Devils 3-2 and also snapped Prignash Footthrower’s 24-game hitting streak. The 29-year-old Dunharrow center fielder failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats.
“Nothing personal against Footthrower, we just wanted to win the game,” said Dragons skipper Lura Galindil. “We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing.”
When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Footthrower frowned and said, “I won’t lie and say that I’m not disappointed about it, but I’d feel much better if we had won.”
For the year Footthrower is batting .341 with 2 home runs.
