Moria Overcomes 2 HRs from Mugworts, Series Tied

Bywater center fielder Meriadoc Mugworts pounded Moria pitchers at Khazad-dum Stadium, but it was not enough to keep the Bounders from losing in a walk-off. The Miners fell 6-5 in Game 6 of the Fellowship Series. Mugworts went 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice and was named player of the game for his efforts, even as he saw the Bounders slip into a 3-3 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Gleran Rockcrusher had a nice at-bat for the Miners with one out in the bottom of the tenth. With a runner on 2nd, the center fielder drew a walk, which would prove important in the Moria win.

“We were able to get some things going offensively,” said Rockcrusher.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Khazad-dum Stadium. Slated to start are Eiamir Tarsis for Bywater and Yoshimi Lightloafer for Moria.
