Sylvan End Argyll’s Streak

Thursday, May 24th, 2040
The Mirkwood Sylvan pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Giacomino Argyll hitless in 5 at-bats during the club’s 14-7 victory over the Rivendell Royals at Royals Stadium. The disappointing performance ended a 22-game hitting streak for the second baseman.

“I’m a little down right now,” Argyll said after the game. “I couldn’t get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too.”

During the current season Argyll is batting at a .378 clip with no home runs and 28 RBIs. He has played in 35 games and scored 31 times.
