Disaster Win to Extend Series Lead to 2-0

A strong performance from pitcher Todo Gilmore was not enough for the Dunharrow Devils, who were stopped by the visiting Dagorlad Disaster in a 6-3 loss in Game 2 of the Two Towers Series today. The Disaster never truly figured out the right-handed Gilmore, who threw 6 innings allowing 6 runs to earn player of the game honors. Still, the Disaster now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

Curt Dryadslicer aided the Dagorlad cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 4.

Dryadslicer attributed the win to “energy and focus on the part of everyone.”

Game 3 is set to be played Saturday at Dunharrow Field. The scheduled starters for the game are Joop Nasor for Dagorlad and Eva Chiselarm for Dunharrow.

Disaster Rally Past Devils to Claim 1-0 Series Lead

The Dagorlad Disaster started the Two Towers Series in dramatic fashion today, stealing Game 1 from the Dunharrow Devils in a walk-off. Dagorlad won 2-1 behind a good day from starter Rebo Hill. The right-hander threw 5 innings allowing 1 run in the win, which gave the Disaster a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-7 series.

Haleodur Slezak was the walk-off hero for Dagorlad. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Disaster catcher hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

“I had everything working,” said Hill.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Dagorlad Memorial Stadium. Slated to start are Todo Gilmore for Dunharrow and Joop Nasor for Dagorlad.

Disaster Win Fellowship Series

Issth Foriand was a standout performer in the Fellowship Series, but unfortunately the same couldn’t be said for the rest of the Misty Mountain Hops.

The Dagorlad Disaster beat Foriand’s Hops 5-2 at Dagorlad Memorial Stadium tonight, to capture the series 4-1.

Despite the series loss, Foriand was named MVP.

“It’s cold comfort,” he said solemnly when asked about the award. “I’d certainly rather be in Dagorlad’s position than mine.”

The Dagorlad Disaster will play against the Dunharrow Devils in the next round. Dunharrow won their series against the Weathertop Witch Kings 4 games to 1. The Two Towers Series schedule will be announced after the Fellowship Series finishes.

Dagorlad Wins Game 4 in Extras

The Dagorlad Disaster moved to within one game of the Two Towers Series today, downing the Misty Mountain Hops 2-1 in a low-scoring, extra-inning affair at Dagorlad Memorial Stadium. Leading the way for the Disaster was right-hander Sourk Ratbelly, who was named player of the game after he threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. The win gives the Disaster a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Fellowship Series.

Late in the game, first baseman Borthak the Wicked had a big at-bat for Dagorlad. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single off Caoimhín Júlia. The play gave the Disaster a 2-1 lead.

“This place was rocking at the end,” the Wicked said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Dagorlad Memorial Stadium. Slated to start are Kate Hilldweller for the Misty Mountain Hops and Snibb *Ninwocket for the the Dagorlad Disaster.

Home Loss Shrinks Disaster’ Series Lead to 2-1

The Misty Mountain Hops have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Dagorlad Disaster, winning 5-4 at Dagorlad Memorial Stadium today. Hops right fielder Rona Walekino was named player of the game after she was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. She drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win cuts the deficit facing the Hops to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Fellowship Series.

The game was far from mistake-free. In the top of the fifth, the Disaster committed a costly error on a base hit by Ignatie Nyambek. Misty Mountain scored 2 on the play to take the lead, 4-3.

“You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day,” Walekino told the Misty Mountain Today.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Dagorlad Memorial Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Tanta Trample for Misty Mountain and Sourk Ratbelly for Dagorlad.

the Wicked, Disaster Sink Hops Again in Game 2

Riding the 3-hit performance of first baseman Borthak the Wicked, the Dagorlad Disaster got a road win against the Misty Mountain Hops, 4-3, in Game 2 of the Fellowship Series today. the Wicked went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times for the Disaster, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and two out in the top of the seventh inning. That’s when catcher Haleodur Slezak struck out. The Disaster went on to win.

“We have been clicking right from the start of this series, so our mission statement at the moment is just don’t tinker with anything,” Dagorlad manager Gameodriel Eoweriand told reporters.

The next game is set to be played Thursday, October 13th, 2039 at Dagorlad Memorial Stadium. Slated to start are Dudo Brownlock for the Misty Mountain Hops and Joop Nasor for the the Dagorlad Disaster.

Dagorlad Takes Series Lead in Low-Scoring Affair

The Fellowship Series got off to a quiet start today, with the traveling Dagorlad Disaster taking a low-scoring 2-1 win over the host Misty Mountain Hops. Dagorlad left-hander Snibb *Ninwocket was marvelous at Gap of Rohan Park at Caradhras and was named player of the game. The Disaster now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Higak the Rude, who is a two-time Legolas Fielder Award winner, helped out the Dagorlad cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder was 2-4 with 2 singles.

“Things broke our way today and that’s great,” Disaster manager Gameodriel Eoweriand said. “It’s important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren’t done yet.”

Disaster Win Tight Mordor Conference Troll Division Race

Dagorlad Disaster fans have reason to celebrate, their club has won the Mordor Conference Troll Division.

“It feels good to clinch it for our fans,” said closer Arwoma Eowär. “I know there’s a lot of expectations on this team and we hope to live up to them.”

The division title is the team’s 5th. They will now be searching for the franchise’s 2nd Return of the King Series victory.

“We all hope the best is yet to come,” said manager Gameodriel Eoweriand.

MC’s Premier Batter Picked

Beach balls were coming in at Curt Dryadslicer in August and he banged, bashed and blasted them all over the park, putting up a .318 batting average and hauling in the Mordor Conference Batter of the Month trophy.

The 27-year-old Dagorlad left fielder collected 28 hits last month in 28 games. He put up 10 home runs, 24 RBIs and 21 runs scored. Dryadslicer also drew 17 walks and compiled a .434 on-base percentage.

This year Dryadslicer has batted at a .251 pace with 73 hits, 21 home runs, 49 RBIs and scored 53 times.

Disaster Win Sweepstakes for CL Ploughman

The Dagorlad Disaster have called a press conference later today to announce the signing of closer Janice Ploughman to a 3-year, $32,100,000 contract.

Both Ploughman and the Disaster are said to be very pleased to come to this agreement.

In her career Ploughman has 267 saves with a 40-48 record and a 3.27 ERA.
