Red-Hot Ironfist Cools Off Rivendell

Lomli Ironfist hurled a fine game for the Minas Tirith Titans at Elrod Stadium at Finrod Field today, holding the Rivendell Royals to 1 hit in a shutout win.

“When he started out, his command wasn’t that good, but he’s a tough guy,” Minas Tirith manager Hob Hilldweller said. “The more pitches he throws, the better his command is.”

The right-hander had 15 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 2-0 victory.

“An outstanding job,” Rivendell manager Marcos Easyheart said. “We couldn’t get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game.”

Thus far this season, Ironfist has tossed 208.2 innings in 32 starts, fanned 294 batters, walked 47 and put up a 3.11 ERA with 11 wins and 10 losses.
