Monday, October 15th, 2035
Lor Sandslinger has led his Minas Tirith Titans to a Fellowship Series victory.

Minas Tirith’s right fielder was named series MVP after playing an instrumental role in winning the series 4-2 and eliminating the Erebor Eagles.

“See the ball, hit the ball,” he said. “It’s pretty simple what I did this series.”

The club advanced to the Two Towers Series with a 3-2 triumph at The Eyrie in the deciding game.

Sandslinger was red hot in the series, which saw him put up a .500 average, as well as 0 home runs and 4 RBI.

The Minas Tirith Titans will play against the Bree Cheese in the next round. Bree won their series against the Minas Ithil Wyrms 4 games to 2. The Two Towers Series schedule will be announced after the Fellowship Series finishes.

Fans of the Minas Tirith Titans have a lot to get excited about, as the club has captured the Shire Conference Elf Division crown.

It’s the 7th time in franchise history that the club has finished atop the standings and they now have an opportunity to capture the franchise’s 1st Tolkien Baseball championship.

Manager Hob Hilldweller said there’s “a lot of excitement” in Minas Tirith over the club right now and they hope to live up to expectations.

For his part, starting pitcher Lomli Ironfist said the division championship is “just a start” for his team.

“We want to go all the way, win the Return of the King Series,” he said. “Winning the division – we could get used to this.”

Mirkwood Halts Roper’s Hitting Steak

Friday, September 28th, 2035
It was the best of both worlds for the Mirkwood Sylvan today at Woodland Field as they defeated the Minas Tirith Titans 9-0 and also ended Ferdinand Roper’s 28-game hitting streak. The 31-year-old Minas Tirith second baseman failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats.

“Nothing personal against Ferdinand, we just wanted to win the game,” said the victorious Sylvan skipper. “We did a great job keeping him off balance and guessing.”

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Roper frowned and said, “I won’t lie and say that I’m not disappointed about my streak ending, but I would feel much better about things if we had won the game.”

Batting .298 to date, Roper has 7 home runs and 49 RBIs.
