Welcome to Solonor\u2019s Groovy Computer Baseball League, aka Tolkien Baseball.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Solonor\u2019s Groovy Computer Baseball League (SGCBL) is meant to be a fun simulation of running a professional baseball team. The twist is that the setting for the teams and the names of the players are loosely based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. It sounds strange, but the number one rule is that we have fun. All other rules are subordinate to that. SGCBL is a fun pastime that uses Out of the Park Baseball (OOTP)<\/a> to simulate everything.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n This is a non-profit project made by fans of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and computer baseball. All trademarks and copyrights belong to their respective holders, and they reserve all rights.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Privacy Policy<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n \u201cBeings will come Frodo. They\u2019ll come to Middle Earth for reasons they can\u2019t even fathom. They\u2019ll turn up your road not knowing for sure why they\u2019re doing it. They\u2019ll arrive at your door as innocent as hobbits, longing for the past. Of course, we won\u2019t mind if you look around, you\u2019ll say. It\u2019s only 2 gold pieces per person. They\u2019ll pass over the gold without even thinking about it: for it is gold they have and peace they lack. And they\u2019ll walk out to the bleachers; sit in shirtsleeves on a perfect afternoon. They\u2019ll find they have reserved seats somewhere along one of the baselines, where they sat when they were children and cheered their heroes. And they\u2019ll watch the game and it\u2019ll be as if they dipped themselves in magic waters. The memories will be so thick they\u2019ll have to brush them away from their faces. Beings will come Frodo. The one constant through all the years, Frodo, has been baseball. Middle Earth has rolled by like an army of Mumakil. It has been erased like a slate, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it\u2019s a part of our past, Frodo. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh\u2026 beings will come Frodo.
