The Mirkwood Sylvan had to overcome a big game from Old Forest second baseman Burlug the Odiferous to leave Woodland Field with a victory. And they did, winning, 4-3. the Odiferous was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Alaric Bramblebush nailed down his 18th save. The Sylvan now have a mark of 37-60.

Mirkwood took a 4-3 lead on Eglantine Marblerage's 21st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Marblerage hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Old Forest pitcher Bazpog Mandragger visibly frustrated.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Mirkwood manager Tavmina Eemli.
