Merry Fellows Lose, 6-2, at Woodland Field

The Mirkwood Sylvan knocked off the Old Forest Merry Fellows, 6-2, at Woodland Field. Rumburz Cevilla was a big reason Mirkwood won. The first baseman was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Mirkwood starter Primula Dap was credited with the win after throwing 98 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 1-2. Mirkwood is now 38-60, Old Forest 53-43.
With Mirkwood leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Cevilla hit a fastball from Cara Bridger for a 2-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Sylvan ahead, 3-0.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Cevilla.
