Minas Ithil Beats Erebor, 4-2

Silmarillion Cellular Field was the site of a competitive game between the Erebor Eagles and Minas Ithil Wyrms.
Sago Buckland, who is tied for 8th in the SC with a 3.27 ERA, propelled his team to victory over the Erebor Eagles. The final score was 4-2, Minas Ithil. Dubpug Malona was called on to finish, recording his 23rd save.
The Eagles had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Wyrms going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old third baseman Drokhdag Blood-Axe came to the plate. Blood-Axe hit a 2-run home run on a full count changeup from Erebor hurler Eric Crystalembers. It was Blood-Axe's 18th home run of the year.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Buckland.
Minas Ithil, at 59-41, is 4½ games up in the Shire Conference Dwarf Division.
