The Cirith Ninniach 89ers had to overcome a fine effort from Nurn pitcher Joop Nasor to win, 4-3, at Rogers Centre. Nasor went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. Huquethae Nund nailed down his 5th save. The losing skid has reached 8 games for Nurn.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Viliami Glong? The 24-year old second baseman Glong stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Cirith Ninniach up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
