A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Cirith Ninniach 89ers and Rhun Wheat Kings.

Good production from first baseman Elrauwyn Vardamir helped the Cirith Ninniach 89ers topple the Rhun Wheat Kings, 7-5. Vardamir was 3-4 with a triple and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the 89ers. Cirith Ninniach reliever Issbis Revven snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ansegar Kendrick shouldered the loss. Huquethae Nund earned the save, his 9th, for the 89ers.

Vardamir had a game-changing triple in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 changeup from Ansegar Kendrick, he banged a 2-run triple to left-center, giving the 89ers a 7-5 lead. It was the 4th triple of the year for Vardamir.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Vardamir told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
